Hello bloggers! Today is a beautiful snow day in London, Ontario, Canada! And no, I didn't forget the "y" in "snow". Today is a snow day! Ever since entering high school there has been one snow day each year (excepting last year). It's not even that bad though, just lots of snow blowing around and screwing up your visibility. There's probably only about two feet on the ground, which really isn't too bad. I mean, this is Canada for gosh sakes. It's not winter if there isn't a snow day or a blizzard.
I remember one year when I was about ten or eleven we had a big snow day and there was four feet of snow on the ground. Another year we had an ice storm. It might look pretty, but it's very dangerous.
Yup, it's not quite winter without a snow day and you can't have winter holidays without snow.
So for all of you people in warm climates, or warmer climates, then good for you for being in a place that's sunny and bright and warm and I honestly hope you have fun (because I kind of want to be there for march break). But us Canadians, we're enjoying our white snowy snow day today.
Quote of the day: The first snow fall is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found? - J. B. Priestley
