More Hobbit-Stuff

"Far over the misty mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old

... The pines were roaring on the height,
The winds were moaning in the night.
The fire was red, it flaming spread;
The trees like torches blazed with light."

This is the song that is being sung in the trailer of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. It's only part of it, the actual song contains ten verses. The words come right from Tolkien's The Hobbit, nothing was changed aside from the parts that were left out.

Quote of the day: "Where now are the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing? Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing? Where is the harp on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing? Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing? They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow; The days have gone down in the west behind the hills into shadow. Who shall gather the smoke of the deadwood burning? Or behold the flowing years of the Sea returning?" - J. R. R. Tolkien, The Two Towers
